HVAC Solutions Products Cooling Commercial Direct Evaporative Air Conditioning

DIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING TECHNOLOGY

Compared to other climate control systems available, evaporative air cooling provides the most energy efficient temperature relief for commercial or industrial environments of any scale.
Up to 80% more economical than conventional air conditioning systems, our evaporative cooling systems have delivered proved cost reductions and operational returns throughout many industries.
Unlike air conditioning that use re-circulated air, evaporation systems circulate fresh air through a building and force out the stale hot air.

It provides an ideal solution for a large number of applications, particularly where regular air changes are a requirement:

  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Warehouses
  • Industrial plants
  • Open & Semi open areas
  • Kitchens & restaurants
  • Animal farms & breeding facilities
  • Workshops and garages

BENEFITS

  • Energy efficient operation, up to 80% more economical than refrigerated systems
  • 100% fresh air, not recirculated
  • Cost effective
  • Easy installation & low maintenance
  • Effective cooling when doors/windows are open
  • Only water used (no harsh chemical refrigerants)
  • Green technology

WHAT IS DIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING? HOW DOES IT WORK?

Evaporative air conditioning uses evaporation to cool the air. In an evaporative cooler, a pump circulates water from the reservoir on to a cooling pad, which in turn becomes very wet. A fan draws air from outside the unit through the moistened pad. As it passes through the pad the air is cooled by evaporation.

The key to effective evaporative cooling is ensuring that each of the cooling pads are completely saturated at all times during operation and that the systems fan & motor are sized and designed to deliver the appropriate airflow for the space. It is important to remember that cooled air inside the building is not recirculated, so doors or windows must be left open for this air to escape, or extraction fans need to be installed.
